HURTING HEARTS

Hearts are broken every day, lives torn apart by greed
Emotions run high in the lives we live, but tell me what we really need.
Faith and love are the ways or life we all are taught to live
But words of hurt and anger make it hard to give.
Understanding that should open the door to communication and love
That was created for us by the father above.
He understands, he loves, he knows our fear and our pain.
There can be be no excuses to hurt someone when you know
   In who lies the blame.....

I have been having conversations with a friend over the past several days and realized how much a simple word or two can change the whole feeling of a day..if we speak words of encouragement we are encouraged ourselves, if we speak harsh words of accusations and anger we become the accused and the angered..speaking blessings into someones life will resound in blessings in our own life.Speaking negativity will bring negativity back to us!.what will we choose to be today? will we choose to be responsible for our emotional speaking? once words escape our lips we cannot reel them back in..i have been so guilty in my life of speaking words that have been less than a blessing and for that the tone of my own day was set! why you ask? well its simple..most of the time when we have spoken with an edge to our voice and have hurt someone we know it instantly..oh i know some of you will say not always!! but yes we do! you know it because of the expression on the face of the one your talking to changes then their body posture changes and pretty soon you feel it in the pit of your stomach..and then if you know the Lord you hear it " you should not of said that". here is the real issue, do u walk away from the conversation knowing you have hurt someone and say nothing or do you stop yourself and say wait a second i have to correct myself i used a bad tone or hurtful words and i want to apologize to you..how we handle it sets the way our day will go from that moment on..we leave the conversation taking with us the feelings about it, good or bad.
If we have chosen to let the Lord lead our thinking, tone and words expressed the blessings we speak will carry over into a positive disposition within us after we leave the moment! However if we begin to allow the flesh to speak thru us and offend or hurt someone then we carry into our day that negativity we have just released on another..it will manifest itself in our attitude, our walk, our thinking and how we view other situations around us..pretty soon we find ourselves angry and we try and say you don't know why! But we do know why..its guilt!..Because we have chosen not to address our sin we have compounded the problem!..I have been doing some careful looking at how i address people and what i am speaking into their lives and i see where i need improvement and where i have succeeded..so i challenge you today...will you be a speaker of blessings and encouragement or will you be a passer by and allow your emotions to rule your words? being careful what we speak knowing that those words can be a blessing or a curse upon us and whom ever we speak to! ..i pray that God allow me to be a blessing and an encouragement, and i ask that he make me wiser in my choice of words and seal my mouth to words that will hurt and the attitude that comes with it! Amen!
